When I first got it I was tired of it until I got realy good at it and the I fell in love with it. I tried to get some cheats to turn it into UB27 but they didnt work. I was very mad and I didnt thik I had the cheat right so I got back on their and tried to get it agin and ti still did not work.!!!!Then I gave up on it and I decided i was just going to play for fun. The other thing was is that thhe moves are very hard to master very hard.

Wow! I don't play 2D fighters outside of Mortal Kombat even though I love Dragonball Z but this game is the best! I even stick with Virtua Fighter 4 over Budokai. But this game is loaded with style from the get go. The game looks great, plays great, and contrary to what everyone else says, sounds great! Icludes 1-3 more charcter specific moves than the average Mortal Kombat Trilogy character and gameplay is great when you get into it and it comes down to a lot of timing your moves, dodging, and blocking... what makes any good fighting game. But add flying, an energy meter, the Dragonball Z license, and 3D backrounds and what you have is a game that should have been released in the U.S. ages ago. My only gripe is I wish the projectiles had been more colorful, explosive, and screen-filling than they are. But who cares???

Is it just me or has every game in the DBZ series of games rubbish? yes, some didn't rubbish as bad as others, but, form a pure gamers standpoint, yes, it sucks. The game engine is TERRIBLE! Play yourself some King of Fighters (any year, even 94) and you can get better gameplay than this. The moves work at random it seems. I can pull-off a 7 hit air combo consistently in MvC2, but this game still confounds me even after a couple of hours. The music is awesome, as are the voices (a couple of these sound clips are in final bout). The graphics... hmm. I'm not a carnal gamer. I could care less about graphics. But dang. I wouldn't mind if the animation was at least consistent, but, for example, Super Buu has like 5 frames of animation whereas Trunks seems to have many more. In all decency, some moves have no recovery time and others have a huge one, making this game horribly unbalanced. Lack of balance, gameplay, control... good sound? Bah, cool franchise or not, rubbishgame.

the most part the dialogue is in japense, but i can look past that minor flaw. i am a huge dragonball fan i have every episode on tape and i've been watchin this show since '96',so it would take more then just bad voice overs to keep me from this game.Also i must say that this is the best dragonball game for ps1, but dragonball z budakai still holds down it spot as the best dbz game ever.......

When i played this i thought,"Dude,its 2-d its gonna be gay",but when I played it i freaked.I couldent put it down.If you play it watch out for litle Trunks he kicks ass.The game has so many characters,I think it has the most chacters than any other game.You can play story mode and fight everyone or you can play tournament which is really fun.If you look around you can find this code for it that lets you unlock Gogeta,Chibi Goku,SSJ3 Goku,and Master Roshi.The game gets even more fun when you play with all the characters.I give his game a 10 out of 10 because its one of the best DBZ games i have ever played.You should play Dragon Ball Z Legends too thats even better.

Ill start out with the good stuff.The amount of
character selections is much more than excelent.There is a ss3goku but it does not beat final bouts ss4goku. The build up mode is pretty fun. Now the thing I don't like is the fact that all the sayans have to be in ss mode. I dont like that when 2 energy balls hit each other they just disaper not like in the show. Above all its pretty awsome but if you have ps2 go for budakia.

I was so excited when I bought the game. I always wanted to play a 2-D DBZ fighting game. When I looked at how to the specials I was confused. It gets me so frustrated trying to to them. Budika's moves were alot easier, And so were the specials easier in DB GT Final Bout. There's alot of my faviorite characters. And the sounds are just like on the show! But all in all, the special's are just to d< remove me > at m* hard. But I would still say its a pretty good game.

I first got this gane yesterday then started to play it. It was sucky when I first started to play it but then my friend and I started playing Build Up mode and keep playing until it was 4:49 in the morning. This game is awesome and all the guys who said this game sucks arn't true DBZ fans and need to start playing a game that they can actually understand like Pokemon blue. Bottom line get it and you wont be sorry! For 20.00 this game is tottaly awesome and don't just quit when you can't win at first just keep trying then you could kick some real < remove me > at $$ with 22 or even 27 DBZ Characters.

The graphics are good besides the backgrounds that are horrible. This game has the original voice actors from the japanese show. The game play may take a while to get use to, but once you get them down, than this game is a no brainer. It is a fun game. The only problem is the one player mode. It is only the computer choosing fighters for you to fight randomly. No story mode. Modes like tournament, build-up, and build-up battle are entertaining. I would just buy it. It's only 20 bucks.

It's a good game with nice 2d Graphics and the fighting is like that of the Early DBZ SNES releases. The Big annoyance is the "Vegeto" "Gogeta" mix up but at least they got the Fusion right just wrong result. The game has good playability for beginners but mastering combos is challenging even for experts so thats a big thumbs up on my part. This game will be a favorite for players for a long time lets just hope DBGT will provide some more good games in the future.

Ok first off i'm here to say screw off to all thse who complained about the games graphics what can you expect first it's a ps1 game and 2 the game is like 3 or 4 years old it was just recently translated so i'm sure for it's time the graphics were good. I haven't actually played it yet i bought it today and can't wait to get home and play it. just reading through the instruction manual make the game look like the type of game that will please hard core fans like my-self. so i give the game 10 stars even though i haven't played it

When I saw UB22 in my local store, I thought Oh my god! I need it! So I purchased it and eagerly drove back to my house anxious to play it on my Ps2. What did I get? A average game. I tried it out playing as Goku and I lost the first million times and it was on easy! But then as I played I got better and better. I think the graphics are a total let down! The sound sounded like the actual japanese voices which is awesome! The gameplay isnt so great anyways unless your playing Bulid up mode. The originality is good considering the graphics looks 2D and the show. I still think its a okay average game. Major improvements to the graphics would raise my score dramatically but right now its staying a 7.

The day I got DBZ ub22 it was the most best game I ever played!! Even more better than DBZ Budokai.The game has good sounds,good characters, but the worst thing is the graphics that's all that's bad.The game also has a WHOLE LOT of characters.This game was asume!!!!I liked the game if you want this game you can get it at the mall that's where I got it!

so far im realy impressed even though its not as fun as dbz budokia it has all the cool char. dbz bodukia dose not if u do not have these games u should purches them

This game looked pretty cool to me at first, it had all the things i wanted in a dbz game. i had already long known about the game from the internet and was excited to finally get my hands on it here without importing it. the fighting engine is somewhat similar to a capcom fighting game only very watered down. if you have played through a couple street fighters you wont find anything terribly exciting in this game. it can keep u entertained for awhile just because you get to see some of your favorite dbz characters duking it out. graphically the game is below average even for the playstation era. the backgrounds try to add some sort of 3d flavor to the game but are pretty empty in most stages. the characters look pretty good, about as nice as you would expect from the time this game was made. while maybe not up to the quality of later playstation games it still is easy to tell which character is which. many people ive heard complain aboutt he game being 2d it is that way because at the time the 2d fighting games were much superior to any 3d fighting game at the time. 2d gamin is classic and it is great to get some of this old school feel back into my daily gaming but it definetely should have been better. the sound isnt as dissapointing as many have said. the music is pretty quiet for the most part and the voices are all the actual japanese voice actors which makes it feel more real to a die hard dbz fan. the game will busy for quite some time with its build up mode but it offers no story mode which in my view is a major let down. until dragonball final bout is rereleased you should at least check this out i mean it is only 20 dollars anyway so you wont miss the cash all that much. of course if your looking for a real dragonball game it may be best to wait the coming announcments of the new dbz games from activision or pick up budokai which is another average game but on a more powerful piece of hardware so all you graphic freaks can get ur fi of good looking 3d gaming there. i guess the bet way to sum all this up is i bought the game 4 days ago played it quite a bit and ive pretty much done all there is to do besides make characters stronger which gets old fast but while it lasts it can be a fun little game.

When I first heard about this game I was begging my parrents to get it for me. Then I got it one day after my b-day. It took me a while to put the code in but it works. The finnisher moves for the fighters are very hard for me to do. But the other moves are easy. The main thing that I think is bad about this game is that its graphics SUCK and so does the controlling.

This game is not very good. The graphics are awful and the controls could be better. About the only thing good about it is the wide variety of characters. But,it is pretty cool you can get Vegito and super saiyan 3 Goku.Also, it lacks a story mode which stinks. The music is sorry,the character's voices are very bad. All the characters sound like they are babies except cell and vegito. I would not buy this game for over $20.00. If you want a better game buy dragonball z legeends or dragonball gt final bout. If you have a ps2 get Dragonball z Budokai it is very cool.

I think this game is really cool for a number of reasons it has most of your fav characters such as goku vegeta and my personal fav future trunks the game has good pick up and play controlls and anyone can get into this game and start kicking a$$. There is also a build up mode to edit your fav characters strength. this is one of the best dbz games ever made its up there with such games as hyper dimension and shinbouten deffinitely get this one if you love dragonball z.

everybody that you talk to will say that this game is one of if not the worst dbz game eva made this is not true i had the game imported before it was released in the uk and it blew my mind the sound quality isnt all that but u get nearly all of the characters from the sajin saga to the super buu saga plus a few more once you complete the game there are 27 charaters i prefer this game to final bout gt because the character look like they do in the show and the comic i would give this game 11/10 if i could it rocks

I beat this game in 2 days ,but i like it because of gotenks,gogita,and super sayin 3 goku.They call gogita veggeto in the booklet.Its good for being 2D graphics.Pick it up give it a try and if you like it buy it its only $20.00.
